This last week was kinda lonely working by myself however, I also kind of enjoyed it. I was able to mindlessly work on my task while contemplating some of the other things going on in my life. The work as always revolved around prep work for food storage and clean up for the areas after and overall was a nice change of pace being by myself.

This last Friday we made pot pies, there wasn't too much to do in regards to actual work however, Christine still ensured everyone was evenly sharing jobs and ensuring that we knew how to do something if it was a new task to us. The environment is always friendly and a great place to make an impact.

I had my reservations at first because the kitchen entrance was located in the back of an alleyway. However, the director was really nice and knew what tasks they were going to give us right away. That set the tone for the entire shift. Once we were done with a task, we could help somewhere else. In addition, the rotation of jobs ensured no one was continuously doing a job they didn't like. Knowing that 2 hours of my time can impact so many people is a good feeling and I'm glad I was able to be a part of it.
