About Us
City on a Hill is located in an old hospital building in the inner city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin about within walking distance from the University of Marquette's campus. Our vision is a world free from poverty in all of its forms, where all children and families can thrive, regardless of background. We are continuing to help improve child well-being, family unity, and dignity among Milwaukee's poor. City on a Hill has a free health clinic, children and youth programs, family events, a variety of adult programs, and a family resource center for families involved in our programs. For those not from the area, we offer year-round mission trips, a unique 40-hour poverty simulation, and urban plunge trips that help educate people in poverty and urban ministry.
Collectively, we are committed to raising awareness and resources to end poverty in all its forms in the lives of the urban families we serve. Come be a part of an organization committed to making a difference here in Milwaukee and beyond!
