Literacy Services of Wisconsin

Literacy Services of Wisconsin (LSW) educates, motivates, and inspires engaged adults to achieve greater independence and transform their lives. For more than four decades, LSW has worked with adult learners want to improve their education, particularly those who dropped out of school years ago. We're also here for people who come to our country and want to learn our language, or for those who want to attain a high school equivalency degree.

Our volunteers tutor in our three major programs - Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education and English Language Learning at all four of our locations. We also have various non-tutor opportunities for those interested in helping in other areas. We are located Downtown at 555 N. Plankinton Avenue and have 3 other sites at Layton Center - 1545 S. Layton Blvd., North Division High School - 1011 W. Center St. and South Division High School - 1515 W. Lapham Blvd.
